Possum Kingdom Lake

Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 5)

FAIR. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.26 feet below pool. Stripers are fair and should start to pick up. Live bait is still putting fish in the boat each trip, but the fish are still super scattered in 30-50 feet of water. Sand bass are fair but slowing down in the main lake. Fish should be up in the creeks getting ready to spawn. Use live shad or small jigs and rattle traps when in the creeks. Catfish are still fair to good with cut shad producing good numbers of fish in 2-5 feet of water fished on the bottom. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility and slightly stained. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service.
