GOOD. Water stained; 74 degrees; 2.25 feet below pool. Stripers are fair to good with live bait early in the morning in 20-40 feet of water, then in 40-60 feet later in the day. Downriggers continue to be slow. Fish are still moving very fast and it is very hard to stay on top of them but it can be done. Your best bet is to just put baits in the water and slowly move around with the trolling motor until you find them. Once you find them, try to stay with them. Sand bass are still slow in 20-30 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs or rattle traps. White and silver are good colors. Catfish are still fair to good with cut shad or your favorite brand of stink bait, also known as punch bait, is still producing good numbers of fish in 15-30 feet of water fished on or near the bottom. Water clarity is steady with 4-10 feet of visibility. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service.Bass are scattered on deep brush and ledges hitting deep diving crankbaits, Carolina rigs, and jigs.
